Milestone

Today is a major Milestone Anniversary for me.  It is the 25th anniversary of the day that change my life in so many ways.

It is the day I decided to purchase the Starter Kit for over $400.  Yes you read right.  When I purchased the Stampin' Up! Starter there were two kits one was around $200 the other $400.  I didn't get to choose the product in my kit, it was a set kit.  But I wanted it all, and I didn't want to pay full price.  This was at the time Stampin' Up! wasn't even an exclusive company.

I truly signed up for one reason, discount.  You see Jay & I owned a hardware store where I worked 60 hours a week.  I did not need another job.  I was treasurer and very involved in our church, but I loved everything about stamping.

I remember asking Jay years later, what did you think when I asked to sign up as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, he said I thought it was another passing craft phase of yours.

Well 25 years later, stamping is so much more than a crafting phase it's my family.  When I purchased the Starter Kit a whole new world opened up for me.  I worked in the hardware store, that I enjoyed very much, but I mainly talked with men all day about home repair.  When I purchased the Starter Kit it allowed me to go out and talk with women and teach what I loved, stamping.

Did I work hard?  You bet, doing what I had a passion for.
