What ink to use? Product Share

Classic Stampin’ Pads are exclusive with Stampin'Up! They are are water base ink.   This innovative ink pad design has a patented flip-top lid with a firm foam pad to give you a superior stamping experience. The most poplar ink pad we use, and is used for general stamping.  Since it is water based, it is not good to use when using anything water related, such as Blending Pens, Aqua Painter or even our Stampin' Blends.  But if you are looking for a tone on tone you can blend lightly with these pads.

Stampin'Up! takes the guess work out of product coordination as our Classic Ink Pads match all of Stampin' Up! Core Products.  With our Color Revamp this year, we are offering an assortment of just the new colors.

No craft stash is compete with the essential black ink pad.  The Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad gives you perfect coverage.  It works wonderful when using our Stampin' Blends.  I use when I am using light watercoloring techniques, but not suitable for extension watercoloring, as it will bleed.

Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad is a permanent ink pad and works wonderful for stamping images to watercolor.  It also lets you stamp on nonporous surfaces like window or foil sheets.  Do not use with Stampin' Blends with this pad, even though it is permanent.  It is an alcohol base, and so aren't Stampin' Blends, so you will get some smearing.   It is recommended to use StazOn Cleaner to clean your stamps after using StazOn.

Just as the name success the VeraMark Pad is very versatile.  It will create tone-on-tone or watermark effects. This ink appears a few shades darker than the cardstock it's stamped on giving a watermark look. It's perfect for resist stamping and heat embossing. Use with Heat Tool to adhere Stampin' Emboss Powder to stamped images.

Hope this helps you when you are deciding what ink to use on your next project.

Thanks for the info on the ink products. The info is helpful.
(My first thought was how is she going to do a product share with inks though! With the new catalog and everyone doing product shares, I was confused at first!)
