How To Make a Open Center Box Card

#designerseries #openceenterbox #lindabauwin

WOW you are going to love today's video on how to make an Open Center Box Card all from one sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" card stock.  Are you thinking, but it's Monday and creative fold videos are usually on Tuesday?  Well you are correct, but tomorrow I am going to be in a blog hop Creating Inking Creating with Color, and trust me you won't want to miss that video and blog hop, tomorrow.

Today's video was inspired by Denice Hernandez from Buffalo, New York, who is a member of my Stamp Family.  I recently had a challenge for demonstrators on my TEAM to create a card using designer series paper.  The entries were over-the-top and I will sharing them in the coming weeks.  Denice card was the first place winner and received a $75 gift certificate from me.

She used the Myths & Magic Suite to create her card which includes the Magical Day Bundle, Myths & Magic 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper, and the Myths & Magic Designer Series Paper.

I had never seen a creative fold like this done with one sheet of card stock, and at first it looked hard, but as you will see in the video it is very easy to do.

You start with a piece of 8 1/2" x 11" Card Stock and score along the 11" side at 2 3/4", 5 1/2" & 8 1/4".  Along the 8 1/2" side you score at 4 1/4".  You will fold card in half along the 4 1/4".  Open back up.  You will cut along the 4 1/4" score line from the first intersection of score lines  to the third intersection.  Again watch the video to see how easy it is to make this card.

So glad you enjoyed

I'm pretty go at engineering a card from sight but would never have guessed this was made from one piece of CS. I would have inverted another piece of paper onto my base card and glued it on either end after cutting the ovals. Thanks for sharing. Love this design.

That's a fun card. I've never seen one like it. Fun new twist on a card in a box. Thanks for sharing.
