Must See Snow Shaker Card
November 11, 2016
OMG you have to watch today's video on how I made this adorable Snow Shaker Card. I was inspired by a card I seen Tami White do, that she had CASED (Copy And Share Everything) from someone else. She added her twist to the card. So I had to add my twist.
Isn't that what stamping is all about? Being inspired by something, someone else's card, or a picture in a magazine and then you put your twist on it or your color and it becomes your new idea. What has inspired you on a project?
My twist is this adorable Shaker Jar of Snow with snow in it. I so love that Stampin' Up! now carries the foam adhesive strips to make shaker cards a snap. I got the snow at a Dollar Store and it is a huge bag to make lots of Shaker Cards.
In the video, I share how to make the cut out for the shaker with the small jar. The framelit set Everyday Jars only has a cut out for the center of the large jar. I used the small jar. So I show you how you can use the large framelit to create the smaller opening in the smaller jar.
I also share how to emboss with just part of your embossing folder, like I did with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder to make it look like the snow is coming out of the jar. Adorable, right?
