Full Pleated Card
April 12, 2016
Today's Creative Fold Video features what I am calling a Full Pleated Card. You may remember the card I did a few weeks back that I called a Pleated Card. Well the pleat was just on one side of the bottom of the card. Today's card the pleat is across the whole bottom of the card.
The sample above is the card I did before the video. Well while I was doing the video I had a senior moment, seem to be having those lots these days, and put adhesive on the wrong side of designer series paper. Well watch the video and compare it to this card and tell me which you like better.
The size of the designers series paper measures 3" x 11". Now this size of paper and the pleats can be used on a several different sizes of cards. As you will see in the video, I fold a large portion of the pleat around to the back of the card. So if you do bigger cards, these measurements will work for your card size too.
You take the 3" x 11" and you score at 1.5", 2", 3", 3.5", 4.5", 5", 6". 6.5", 7.5", 8", 9" & 9 .5. Then I measured up on the two short sides by 1.5" and on one side I cut from the 1.5" mark to the 5" score line. On the other side I cut from the 1.5" mark to the 6" score line.
This card is another great way to show off both sides of our Designer Series Paper. Don't forget to let me know if you like the card above or the one in the video.
Love this technique. I made my own today.

I love this technique and am going to give it a try! Thank you for the video, Linda.
Vicki, she used double-sided paper (different designs on each side). Is that what you are confused about? Hope this helps! : )

What are you having issues with? It will be longer and wrap around the card. You can change the mountain and valley folds (scoring is the same) to get different looks. My picture and my sample have different valley and mountain folds.

Just like Linda above, mine doesn't turn out correct either. Am trying to make this as a Mother's Day card and I am stumped. Sure would appreciate some help. Thanks.

Did you watch the video? The full pleat wraps around the card and the thin strip adheres on the top of the pleats. That's it.
