Video Showing Negative Image Stamping With Celebrations Duo Folders

The Celebrations Duo Textured Impressions Embossing Folders were introduced in the Occasion Catalog.  These folders create debossed impressions.

#celebrationsduoembossingfolders #lindabauwin

They work great with the Happy Celebrations Stamp Set to create cards like this one.

#happycelebrationbundle #lindabauwin

As you stamp over the debossed impressions, the ink doesn't go into the debossed area.  Well I learned a new way to use these folders, and you can get the tips on today's video.

I took part in one of Sherrie Robinson's Famous Shoe Box Swaps while at OnStage in Richmond, Virginia.  And I got to learn a this technique that I am calling Negative Imagine Stamping with the Happy Celebrations Stamp Set.  The card was designed by Cyndy Ponczek, and I so appreciate her sharing this technique.

Check Out the totally different look by doing this technique.

#negativeimagestamping #lindabauwin

Check out how the word is darker ink instead of the white.  Watch the video to learn how to do this awesome technique.

The Confetti Embossing Folder, 5/8" Mini Striped Ribbon and the Party Animal Designer Series Paper were all used on this card.  If you like these accessories, you need to hurry before they are gone, as they are on the retiring list of products.  These products are all on sale at some pretty amazing sale prices.  Check out the Retiring Items in the links posted below.

Video Showing The Tarnished Foil Technique

#tarnishfoil #lindabauwin

I am so in love with this new stamping technique I just learned called, Tarnished Foil.  I used with the Nail It Bundle.  This bundle is becoming my favorite masculine bundle.  You will want to subscribe to my blog, if you are not already, because in April I will be offering a very special deal with this bundle, that you will not want to miss.

#stamptechnique #nailit #lindabauwin

Here is the card I did using the tarnished foil technique.  Stampin' Up!'s Foil Sheets are the perfect product to do this technique.  Every color of our Foil Sheet gives this technique a new look.

You must use the StazOn Ink to add the first layer of color.  In the video, I embossed with the Hexagon Dynamic Textured  Embossing Folder first and then added the ink.  But you can add your ink first, just make sure you use a sheet of paper between your foil and the embossing fold, so you won't get the ink on your folder.

I then used the embossing buddy to remove any moisture from the foil and added VersaMark Ink Randomly on the the foil, and I applied Silver Embossing Powder.  Not only can use different colors of foil sheets you can also use different colors embossing powders.  I then heated with the Embossing Gun to melt the powders.

After the foil has cooled, I did the same thing again, adding the VersaMark then this time I added the Copper Embossing Powder.  Such an amazing look and it look so good with the Nailed It Bundle.

Watch the video for some other cool tips.  Then go get creative and share what you come up with.

Time is ticking away.  Don't miss out on the Ultimate Stamping Bundle.  Where you will get a chance to give Stampin' Up! a Test Drive and earn a discount on your paper crafting supplies.  This special offer ends March 31, Don't be Left Out.

How To Add Color To Your Stamps

#cooltreatsbundle #lindabauwin

Today's video is a quick tip on how to add color to your stamps to make a word jump out.  I used the fun Bundle Cool Treats, found in the Occasions Catalog.  This bundle has the stamp set, called Cool Treats, that has 36 photopolymer stamps and a set of 17 matching framelit dies, in the Frozen Treat collection.

I used the new Lace Doilies for accent, along with Silver Foil for the spoon, and Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride and Early Espresso Card Stock to build my dish of ice cream.

The sizes of card stock I used for this card are:

I also used the Stitches Framelits Dies.  You can't find these dies in a catalog, as they are an early release.  I think they add so much to a card.  And match the Layering Oval, Squares and Circles Framelits.  You really get a lot of bang for your buck with these framelits.

Speaking of bang for your buck.  Why don't you give Stampin' Up! a Test Drive and purchase the Ultimate Bundle the Starter Kit?  This is the best time of the year to join Stampin' Up! and see what it's all about.  Not only will you get up to $251 worth of product for just $99, plus free shipping, you will get a discount on your future purchases.   That means product from the new catalog.  Not to mention you will be the first to see the new product.

As you will see in the video, I marked with a pencil the width of the card stock that is angled a crossed the card front.  I used this as a guide to stamp the flowers.

I used the masking technique that I shared in a video a few days ago.  If you missed that video you can check it out here.   I did that video with the same beautiful set.

I used on this card Soft Sky, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz and Rich Razzleberry Classic Inks.

Card Stock Sizes Are:

  • 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Blushing Bride Card Stock
  • 4" x 5 1/4" Soft Sky

Creative Inking Blog Hop Color My World

So glad you joined us on the Creative Inking Blog Hop this month, with a theme of Color My World.  Those that know me, know that coloring is not my favorite technique.  But I have a lovely coloring technique to share with you called spotlighting.  I even did a video to show you how simply it is to do this technique.

#spotlightcoloring #lindabauwin

As you will see in the video, I used the Layering Circles Framelits to spotlight just a section of the stamp image.  That way I don't have to color the whole card, but just the section I spotlighted with the circle framelits.

I used the Aqua Painter along with the Melon Mambo and Wild Wasabi Ink Pads to color the flower in.  I used both the Clear and the Gold Wink of Stella to highlight the flower.  The flower comes from the You've Got This Stamp Set and the words are from the Butterfly Basic Stamp Set.

I think the Butterfly is a great accent and it is done with Gold Foil Sheet and the Bold Butterfly Thinlits Dies.

The sizes of Card Stock for this card are"

Stamptechniquemasking #lindabauwin

Quick Video with So Detailed Thinlits Dies

#sodetailedthinlits #lindabauwin

Today's video is just a quick tip to show you how to create a belly band for your card using the So Detailed Thinlits Dies. You want to check back next Tuesday, when I release my Creative Fold Video for the week.  This Belly Band will be used on that card.

The So Detailed Thinlits Dies are a set of three dies with the largest image measuring 5 1/2" x 2 5/8".  It is recommended to use the Precision Base Plate with your Big Shot for these dies, because these dies are so detailed.  I also used the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies which also recommends the use of that Precision Plate.

I used a piece of Sahara Sand Card Stock to add to the Detailed Imagine, so it would wrap around the card.  That piece of card stock measured 1" x 4 3/4".

When you are adhering the belly band together, I really suggest using Tear-n-Tape or Fast Fuse as you will need something strong as you move the belly band on and off the card.

Don't forget the Ultimate Stampin' Up! Bundle will only be available until March 31, 2017.  What are you wanting for? Learn about all the benefits because just the great price of the bundle.

Lift Me Up Bundle Video

Check out this fun new Bundle called Lift Me Up.  It has 16 rubber stamps  featuring Hot Air Balloons and fun uplifting saying to the stamp set with matching Thinlit Dies.  The Thinlit Dies are called Up & Down, but of course you save 10% in you buy the stamp set and thinlit dies together in a bundle.

Check out the video and then one of the many samples I have made from the bundle.

#liftmeup #lindabauwin

Some of the dies for the Hot Air Balloons are detailed, so Stampin' Up! is recommending the use of the Precision Base to help cut out these thinlits.  Some of the other dies are not detailed but our smaller so they are recommending the Magnetic Platform for these thinlits.  Make sure you have these products to help you when you are cutting these dies out.  Love this bundle with the Sunburst Thinlit.  I love the look of this card.  Makes me think of Jodie's and my adventure in the Hot Air Balloon last April during my Million Dollar Incentive Trip.  Some fond memories.
