Butterfly Shaker Card

#butterflyshakercard #lindabauwin

In today's video I am going to share some quick tips to make a shaker card with any of Stampin' Up!'s Thinlits or Framelits.  I am using the Butterfly Thinlits along with the Layering Circles Framelits.  Have you check out those Layering Circle Framelits?  Love them.

It is always best to cut out your Thinlit or Framelit first and then run though an embossing folder.  I used the Fluttering Folder.  This helps hide any press markers you may get from the thinlit or framelit.

Products you need when making a shaker card like this one are the new Foam Adhesive Strips, and the Window Sheets.  I used the fringe scissors as I find them great to use to make inexpensive fillers for my shaker cards.

Can't wait to see what you creative with your shaker cards.

Check back tomorrow, as I will be sharing another beautiful card using the soon-to-be-released Thoughtful Branches Bundle.  And don't forget I will be releasing more details on August 1 on my Exclusive Tutorial if you purchase the Thoughtful Branches from me.

Designer Series Paper Tip

#designerseriespapertip #lindabauwin

Designer Series Paper so love it.  In fact love it so much it is hard for me to use, as I just want to keep it all for myself.  Well today's video is such an easy card to make.  You can get 6 cards from one sheet of designer series paper.  Now that's a lot of cards.

I used a piece of the Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper that measures 4" x 4".  I measured up one side 3/4" and on the opposite side 2 1/2" and made a pencil mark.  Then I cut between the pencil markers.

Have you checked out the new Sweet & Sassy Framelits?  Oh my!  This is a collection of 15 layering hearts.  I am so in love with all the new layering framelits in the new catalog.  There are squares, circles, ovals and these hearts.

The beautiful thank you on this card comes from the Rose Wonder Stamp Set and it is stamped in the Melon Mambo Ink.  The Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper just has the black, white and melon mambo for the colors, but boy does it pop.  You can have an elegant card done in no time using this fun designer series paper tip.

In Love With Shaker Cards

Foam Adhesive Strips

Can I just say I was so happy when I saw that Stampin' Up! had the foam adhesive strips in the new catalog?  They make making shaker cards such an easy thing.  They are a sheet of adhesive white foam strips for shakers and spinner cards.  The size is 1/8" x 9" and you get a total of 10 yards per pack for only $8.00.  Let the shaking begin.  And we all know we like cards that have movement.  Well at least I do.

#shakercard #leighamburgey #jaroflove #lindabauwin.msg

This card uses the Jar of Love Bundle which makes such an adorable shaker card.  This card was done by Leigh Amburgey from Mentor.  Leigh used the Jar of Love Stamp Set and the Everyday Jars Framelits Dies which comes as a bundle.  She also used the beautiful Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate.

The acetate comes in 12" x 12" sheets with gold foil on one side and looks silver on the the other side.  You get 6 sheets: 2 each of 3 single-sided designs all for $12.  This designer acetate is perfect to work with shaker cards.

Not sure how to make a shaker card?  Well Stampin' Up! created a great video to show you the ins and outs.  So I thoughts I'd share.

Today's video is a Sneak Peek at the New Layering Squares Framelits.  You get a total of 19 square and square scallop framelits with this collect of framelits.  And they work great with our New Foam Adhesive Strips.  These strips are an 1/8" x 9" but a total of 10 yards per pack.

Both of these products are great for making shaker cards.  In the new catalog there are also layering circles, ovals and hearts making shaker cards so easy to make.  We have always carried the window sheets so a perfect match.

I also show off the new Sprinkles Punch.  I keep calling this punch confetti punch, but you will know what I mean.

You need to watch the video as I give you a tip on how to keep your shaker parts from clinging to the window sheet or to the edge of your foam strips.

Out With the Old and In With The New

Not so fast.  It is a hard time of the year for me to be Stampin’ Up! Demo.  You are probably saying WHAT???  Well there is still almost a month before the new annual catalog begins in June.  Stamps and accessories are retiring, and I don't want you to miss one item that is going away that you are in love with.

Every month I get requests from customers that they want items that retired year (s) before.  But they didn't get, and now they want. I know I am just like you.  I want the new BUT don't want to get read of the old before it's gone, as I want to make sure I have EVERYTHING I NEED.  If you haven’t yet, you can view and print my Excel Retired List HERE

So even though I am as excited as you are with the new catalog,  let's just take time and enjoy what's available right now.  In the next couple weeks, I am going to revisit some of my favorite videos and posts.  Kind of a walk down memory lane, just to help you decide if there might still be a got-to-have item (s) left on the retirement list for you.

Don't worry I will throw some teasers out there of the upcoming catalog.   Remember if you order Online from me you will get a beautiful hand stamped card with a surprise tucked inside if you use Hostess Code UR2EPEMT.  DON'T FORGET do not click no contact, as I will not have your information.

The first throw back is the beautiful Swallowtail background stamp.  So sad to see it go.  Hope you enjoy this video from way back in my video days, it was taped over three years ago.

A Nice Cuppa Card

#cuppa #tea Linda Bauwin

Today's video is a perfect reason why you need to look over the Retirement List very carefully and get items ASAP, before they retire.  I did this video a couple of weeks ago and now when I am ready to share I see that the Cup & Kettle Framelits are retired.  The stamp set is available though so decided to go ahead a share the video.

I also used two other items on this card that are retiring and both are must in my stamping world right now.  I will truly miss them.  The one is the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and the Tea Lace Paper Doilies.  So if you have not gotten them you may want to before they are gone.

I am so excited that my YouTube Channel has past 10,000 subscribers and is fast approaching a million views.  OMG that is so exciting.  I started playing around with YouTube about 7 years ago but really did get serious about it until about 3 years ago.  So grateful for my viewers.

How To Three-Step Stamp

Learning to Three-Step Stamp is so easy with matching colors and the right stamp set.  In today's Video I give you some tips on three-step stamping.  Stampin' Up! makes three-step stamping a breeze with their Photopolymer Stamp Sets,  "Picture Perfect" and the free Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set "What I Love".

How To Three-Step Stamp Linda Bauwin

I used the Smokey Slate, Tip Top Taupe, and the Early Espresso Inks for the Hummingbird's body with the Calypso Coral to accent the Hummingbird's throat.  The Calypso Coral is the same color I used on the Free Sale-a-Brtion set "What I Love" for the flowers.

The Hummingbird is not the only three-step images in the Picture Perfect Set.  There is also a three-step rose and leaf, along with a two-step Starfish.
