Check out today's Peek-a-Boo Flip Video

You are going to love this creative fold card, that was inspired from Julie Davison.  I have been wanting to do this card for months, but thought it would be too hard.  WRONG!!

#peekabooflip #lindabauwin

Here is the card closed.  I used lots of new product from the Occasions Catalog.  First the beautiful new Special Reason Bundle.  Stay tuned as this will be my March Stamp of the Month Kit.   I also used the Hexagon Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, the Lace Doilies,  and check out those little butterflies.  They come from the Timeless Tags Thinlits Dies.  You are going to be seeing a lot more of those butterflies as I am in love with those framelits.

#peekabooflip #open #lindabauwin

Here is the card open.  On my sample card I used the Delicate Details Stamp Set that is a free item during Sale-a-Bration.  I forgot to use in the video but I added a fun new twist to the video card.

To make this card I used the following pieces of card stock.

  • 8 1/2" x 11" Dapper Denim Card Stock scored at the 5 1/2" and then cut at the 4 1/4" making two A2 cards
  • Take one of the 4 1/4" x 11" pieces and cut at 8 1/4"
  • Take the other one and cut at 5 3/4"
  • 4 1/4" x 8 1/4" Very Vanilla scored at 4 1/4"

That's all you need to create the base of this fun Peek-a-Boo Flip Card.  If you are joining me for my stamp event in the Rochester New York area this weekend you will be making this card.  What fun we are going to have.

Tunnel Spinner Card Video

I am back from a little break from doing videos, with this fun Tunnel Spinner Card.  It is one of the creative folds you will find in this month's Stamp of the Month.

Have you checked out this month release of my Stamp of the Month Kit?  I used the Sealed With Love Bundle. that will be released tomorrow in the New Occasions Catalog.  This Stamp of the Month Kit is not just about Valentine's Day, it is about sending love all year long.

#tunnelspinnercard #lindabauwin

Here is the card front, so many fun elements on this card from Gold Foil, Metallic Thread and Sequins, to the Delicate Doily.   But the wow factor of this card is when you open it and see the Tunnel Spinner.

#tunnelspinnercardopen #lindabauwin

This is the inside.  It looks hard but really is not, watch the video as I show what to look out for when making this card.

The card base is the standard 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" card.  The inside tunnel part is 5 1/4" x 8" and I used Whisper White Card Stock.  It is scored at the 2", 4", & 6" marks.

I used the Happy Heart Embossing Folder to emboss the two ends.  Would of liked to of used the new Falling Petals Embossing Folder from the Occasions Catalog but it was too wide.

I cut the tunnel opening for the spinner with the Layering Hearts Framlit Dies. The Thick Baker's Twine was used for the spinning hearts.

Like I said make sure you watch the video as I give you tips on how easy this card goes together.

Creative Inking Blog Hop Winter Frolics

Welcome to the Creative Inking Blog Hop with a theme of Winter Frolics.  A Blog Hop on a Tuesday, which is my day each week to share a Creative Fold Card.  So you get both today.  A Creative Fold Video, a Tower Card, and a Winter Frolic Blog Hop with a Birthday Card.

#towercard #lindabauwin

It is hard to get a good picture of how cute this card is, it lays flat to mail, but then stands up like a tower to display on a shelf.

I used the Birthday Banner and Snow Place Stamp Set to create the cool Banner along with the Bunch of Banner Framelits. The adorable Penguin comes from the Snow Place Stamp and is cut out with the Snow Friends Framelits. Don't know how well you can see in the picture, but I used Wink of Stella to give him a little shine.

The panels around the Tower Card use the Woodland Embossing Folder and I brayered the fold.  Here is a video where I show this technique along with the Faux Illusion.  Really adds a cool look to the card.

Getting so excited to share all the fun new product in the Occasions and Sale-a-Bration Catalogs that starts on January 4th.  So starting next week I will feature videos on some of the must have products in these two new catalogs.

Now it's time to hop on over to Diane Evans great post or part if you missed Dena Rekow.

Quick & Easy Designer Series Bag Video

#quickeasybag #lindabauwin

This video is going to show you how quick and easy it is to make a gift bag, to hold a gift card or small gift, all from a half of sheet of designer series paper. That means two bags from one sheet of designer series paper.

Like I said all you need is a half of a sheet of designer series paper.  Then along the 6" side you will score at one inch and four and a quarter.  Along the 12" side score at one and three quarters, five and one quarter, seven and at the then and a half.  How simple is that?

I used a Gold Binder Clip to close my bag.  You could also put handles on the bag and make it in to a little purse.  So cute.  Can't wait to see what you design with this pattern.  Make sure you share.

Triangle Box Video

#triangleboxclosed #lindabauwin

Today's Creative Fold Video is of this adorable Triangle Box perfect for a little Christmas Gift.

Here is a picture of the side view

#trianglebox #lindabauwin

I started with a piece of Garden Green Card Stock that measured 7" x 9 3/4".  You will score along the 9 3/4" side at 1 3/4" 4 1/4" and 7 1/4".  Along the 7" side you will score at 2" and at 5".  that is all the scoring.  As you will see in the video you just do a couple little cuts and that is all there is to it.  You will have a fun little triangle box to put a small gift in.

I forget to tell you in the video the sizes for the Designer Series Paper I used.  I used the beautiful This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper and I cut a strip that was 2 3/4" long and it then cut two pieces that were 2 1/2" wide, one that was 1 1/2" and finally one 2 3/4".

I used the Layering Squares Framelit Dies and the Stitched Framelit Dies to finish the box off.  Check out the video for more information on how easy it is to make this box.

Layering Gate Fold Video

#layeringgate #lindabauwin

Creative Fold Video today features the Baby Bear Stamp Set that is on sale until tomorrow, November 30.  It is just so adorable and has 12 photopolymer stamps and is a two-step stamp set.  It is original price is $26.00, but if you order by tomorrow you can get it for only $19.50.

As you will see in the video, I started with a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Real Red Card Stock and I scored at the 4 1/4" and the 2 1/8".  I took the small 2 1/8" x 5 1/2" section of the card and ran it through the Elegant Dots Embossing Folder.

I used the Big Shot and The Layering Square Framelit Dies To cut out a piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock.    I stamped the "Thinking of You At Christmas" from the Embellished Ornament Stamp Set.  I just stamped part of the Baby Bear on the Very Vanilla Square in Sahara Sand and Chocolate Chip Classic Ink.

For the inside, I took a piece of Very Vanilla That measured 4" x 5 1/4" and stamp in Real Red Classic Ink one of the stamps from the Lovely Stitching Stamp Set.

Shadow Box Creative Fold Video

#santasleighshadowbow #lindabauwin

I shared this shadow box card with you almost a month ago, when I did my Stamp Retreat.  I promised you a video, and I am finally doing that today.  Sorry it took so long, but time marches by pretty first.

You will start with a piece of card stock that measures 7" x 10 1/4".  You will score along the 10 1/4" side at the 5" and the 5 1/4".  We will be working from the 5" score line, so I recommend not scoring over at the 5 1/4".

Along the 7" sides you will move the card stock in to the 1/2" mark,  You will start scoring at the 1/2" mark to the 6 1/2" mark. Move the card stock now in to the 3/4" mark and Score again starting at the 1/2" mark to the 6 1/2" mark.  You will do the same thing on the opposite side.

On both of the 5" sides you will move the card stock to the 1/2" mark and score from the 1/2" to 4 1/2".  Move in to the 3/4" mark and do the same start scoring at the 1/2" mark and cut to the 4 1/2" mark.  Watch the video on how to measure on the score line.

You will cut an "X" out of the center but not all the way to the points you will finish cutting with scissors, as they keep you from cutting to far.

You will place a piece of black card stock on the back to cover the "X", this pieces measures 3 3/4" x 6".  You will also have a Very Vanilla piece of card stock the same size for the inside of the shadow box.

Watch the video and I think you will find this card is way easier to make then it looks.

Time For A Creative Fold Video

#trifold #lindabauwin w

Today's video is a Tri-Fold Card and uses the This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper, the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies and the Christmas Pines Bundle.

I had ordered my Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies and they have been waiting on my doorstep while I was travelling.  Couldn't wait to get them in my hands.  They really do add an elegance to your layering.

This Tri-Fold Card is very simple to make as long as you remember to cut and score at different angle.  And if you go to glue them on the wrong side, like I did in the video, I show you a quick tip on how to correct your mistake.

I started with a piece of Cherry Cobbler Card Stock that measured 4 1/4" x 7 1/2".  Along the 7 1/2" side I scored at 2 1/2" and 5".  Then I scored diagonally on the two outside flaps to form the tri-fold.

The two pieces of This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper measure 2 1/4" x 4".  This is the same size for the piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock in the middle.

I used the Christmas Pines Bundle to decorate the square from the Stitches Shapes Framelits.  Remember the Christmas Pines Stamp Set is on Sale until the end of November at 25% off.  By buying the stamp set on sale and the framelits separate you do save over the bundle price.

Check out all the stamp sets that are on sale through November by clicking here.  Thre are nine sets on sale 6 from the Holiday Catalog and three from the regular catalog.  Don't let this deal pass you buy.

Uneven Gate Fold Card

#unevengate #lindabauwin w

I am so grateful for my faithful followers who understand my senior moments.  I have never been one to go back a change a video because of my mistakes.  Why?  Well one I don't have the time nor patience for that.  And Second I am who I am.  And some days that is a royal mess.

So bear with me on today's video, as you well know some days I have my act together and some days it's questionable.  But I have the correct measurements for you for this Uneven Gate Fold Card listed below and on my video..

The card is the standard 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Garden Green Card Stock.  Along the 8 1/2" side, I scored at the 2 1/2" on one side and the 1 3/4" on the other side.  This formed my Uneven Gate Opening for my 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" standard card.

On the Flap that is the 1 3/4", I adhered a piece of This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper that measures 1 1/2" x 5 1/4" .  On the Flap that was scored at the 2 1/2", I adhered a piece of Cherry Cobbler Card Stock that measures 2 1/4" x 5 1/4" and a piece of the Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper that measures 2" x 5".

I used the Metallic Foil Doilies on each of the flaps and layered them on top of each other.  I next used the Layering Circle Framelits to stamp my verses on.

I hope you enjoy today's video and card, and that I didn't take such a simple card and make it too difficult.  Thanks for your patience.
