Video Showing Negative Image Stamping With Celebrations Duo Folders

The Celebrations Duo Textured Impressions Embossing Folders were introduced in the Occasion Catalog.  These folders create debossed impressions.

#celebrationsduoembossingfolders #lindabauwin

They work great with the Happy Celebrations Stamp Set to create cards like this one.

#happycelebrationbundle #lindabauwin

As you stamp over the debossed impressions, the ink doesn't go into the debossed area.  Well I learned a new way to use these folders, and you can get the tips on today's video.

I took part in one of Sherrie Robinson's Famous Shoe Box Swaps while at OnStage in Richmond, Virginia.  And I got to learn a this technique that I am calling Negative Imagine Stamping with the Happy Celebrations Stamp Set.  The card was designed by Cyndy Ponczek, and I so appreciate her sharing this technique.

Check Out the totally different look by doing this technique.

#negativeimagestamping #lindabauwin

Check out how the word is darker ink instead of the white.  Watch the video to learn how to do this awesome technique.

The Confetti Embossing Folder, 5/8" Mini Striped Ribbon and the Party Animal Designer Series Paper were all used on this card.  If you like these accessories, you need to hurry before they are gone, as they are on the retiring list of products.  These products are all on sale at some pretty amazing sale prices.  Check out the Retiring Items in the links posted below.

Great Storage Solution For Framelits

#storagesolutions #lindabauwin

In today's video, we are going to look at Stampin' Up!'s Stamp Cases. They are the perfect purchase for organizing your stamping supplies.  The standard cases are perfect to store in a DVD Tower.  The wide ones sit nicely on a book case.

Thanks to Marie Beasley from Clayton North Carolina for inspiring this video.   Marie does a lot of scrapbook crops.  That is where you go some where else to create with other like minded crafters.

You want to take everything, this helps a lot with space.  But this storage solutions even helps when you are working at home.  Some times it is hard to go to your Big Shot Machine and locate a die cut to see if it will work nicely on your project.

By cut images out ahead of time, and having in a storage systems like this, they are always with in arms each.  I have these images right beside me with my stamp sets.  Here is a picture of them on my DVD storage rack.

#storagesolution

Check out the video to see how I use the empty embellishment containers for small framelit cut outs.

Double Fun Fold Video

#doublefunfold #lindabauwin

Isn't this a stunning card?  It is a Double Fun Fold Card using the Special Reason Bundle, All Things Thanks Stamp Set, and the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set.

The colors used are Basic Black and Crushed Curry. I also used the Petal Burst Embossing Folder.

You first take a piece of Crushed Curry that measures 5 1/2" x 6 1/4" and score at 4 1/4".   You will see in the video how I embossed just the top portion of this piece.

Then I took a piece of Crushed Curry, that measured 5 1/4" x 8" and scored at the 4" mark.  Again just embossing the top portion.

I took a piece of Whisper White Card Stock that measured 2" x 2 1/2", and used the framelit die from the Stylish Stems Framelits Dies and die cut the daisy in the upper right corner.  I also cut a small piece of Basic Black Card Stock with the die for just the tiny center of the flower.

I stamped the words from the All Things Thanks Stamp Set in black in the lower left corner.  I took the small flower from the Special Reason Stamp Set and stamped around the edge of this piece of card stock.  And then adhered this piece to a piece of Crushed Curry that measured 2 1/4" x 2 3/4", and adhered to the top portion of Basic Black piece where it was dry embossed.

Here is the card half-way opened.

#doublefunfold o

I took a piece of Whisper White 2" x 2 1/2" and stamped the words from the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set in Basic Black Ink, and stamped the flower around the outside again.

You will want to adhere the Crushed Curry Card Base with the fold to the bottom of the Basic Black card base.  Watch the video for placement.

Here is the inside of the card.  I took a piece of Whisper White that measures 3 3/4" x 5" stamped the flowers around the outside and adhere to the inside of the Crushed Curry Base.  There you have it a Double Fun Fold Card.

Creative Inking Blog Hop Designer Series Paper Showcase

#designerseriespaper #su #lindabauwin

Stampin' Up's Designer Series Paper is the best to help make card making a breeze.  First, you have such a great selection of patterns, but the best part is that they coordinate with our inks and other accessories.  That is very hard to find in the paper craft industry.

This card uses the soon-to-be retiring Tip Top Taupe Designer Series Paper.  It doesn't get easier than that.  I used the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies, the Falling Petals Embossing Folder and a stamped verse from the Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set.  And your card is complete.

#designerseriespapersu #su #lindabauwin

This card is super easy.  I just stamped directly on to the Designer Series Paper with Early Espresso Classic Ink.  I used the beautiful Easter Message Stamp Set and the Falling in Love Designer Series Paper.

I used this paper as my main focus for projects we did last weekend at my Stamp Retreat and it was such a hit.  Reminder this paper will soon be gone, as it is in the Occasions Catalog that ends on May 31, or while supplies last.  I wouldn't wait to long to land this beautiful paper.

#designerseriespapersu #lindabauwin

Here is another great way to add Designer Series Paper to a card.  Just by adding small strip across the bottom of the card.  I used the Falling in Love Designer Series Paper again, with the Very Vanilla 1/4" Satin Ribbon. It sits off the basket of flowers so nicely.

The flower basket comes from the Basket Bunch Bundle. If you have not checked out this bundle you need to.  Remember once a bundle has appeared in a catalog as a bundle, it will not appear at the bundle price again.  That doesn't mean the stamps and framelits will not appear in another catalog, you just won't be able to save with the bundle price.

Now it's time to hop on over and see what Diane Evans has to share with us.  Or hop back if you missed Dena Rekow lovely share.

Video Showing The Tarnished Foil Technique

#tarnishfoil #lindabauwin

I am so in love with this new stamping technique I just learned called, Tarnished Foil.  I used with the Nail It Bundle.  This bundle is becoming my favorite masculine bundle.  You will want to subscribe to my blog, if you are not already, because in April I will be offering a very special deal with this bundle, that you will not want to miss.

#stamptechnique #nailit #lindabauwin

Here is the card I did using the tarnished foil technique.  Stampin' Up!'s Foil Sheets are the perfect product to do this technique.  Every color of our Foil Sheet gives this technique a new look.

You must use the StazOn Ink to add the first layer of color.  In the video, I embossed with the Hexagon Dynamic Textured  Embossing Folder first and then added the ink.  But you can add your ink first, just make sure you use a sheet of paper between your foil and the embossing fold, so you won't get the ink on your folder.

I then used the embossing buddy to remove any moisture from the foil and added VersaMark Ink Randomly on the the foil, and I applied Silver Embossing Powder.  Not only can use different colors of foil sheets you can also use different colors embossing powders.  I then heated with the Embossing Gun to melt the powders.

After the foil has cooled, I did the same thing again, adding the VersaMark then this time I added the Copper Embossing Powder.  Such an amazing look and it look so good with the Nailed It Bundle.

Watch the video for some other cool tips.  Then go get creative and share what you come up with.

Time is ticking away.  Don't miss out on the Ultimate Stamping Bundle.  Where you will get a chance to give Stampin' Up! a Test Drive and earn a discount on your paper crafting supplies.  This special offer ends March 31, Don't be Left Out.

Creative Inking Blog Hop Color My World

So glad you joined us on the Creative Inking Blog Hop this month, with a theme of Color My World.  Those that know me, know that coloring is not my favorite technique.  But I have a lovely coloring technique to share with you called spotlighting.  I even did a video to show you how simply it is to do this technique.

#spotlightcoloring #lindabauwin

As you will see in the video, I used the Layering Circles Framelits to spotlight just a section of the stamp image.  That way I don't have to color the whole card, but just the section I spotlighted with the circle framelits.

I used the Aqua Painter along with the Melon Mambo and Wild Wasabi Ink Pads to color the flower in.  I used both the Clear and the Gold Wink of Stella to highlight the flower.  The flower comes from the You've Got This Stamp Set and the words are from the Butterfly Basic Stamp Set.

I think the Butterfly is a great accent and it is done with Gold Foil Sheet and the Bold Butterfly Thinlits Dies.

The sizes of Card Stock for this card are"

Two-Step & Double-Take New Technique

The New Occasions Catalog has some fun new twists on Two-Step and Double-Take Stamping. With the release of the new catalog, you will find a new bundle that features the Celebration Duo Textured Impressions Embossing Folders.  These new embossing folders are great as they create a debossed impression that gives a whole different look to the stamp set Happy Celebrations.

The Happy Celebrations stamp set is the traditional two-step stamping set. I guess it is really a three-step, as there are three coordinating stamps to stamp on top of each other with the "Happy".  But then you add the embossing folder and deboss you may say it becomes a four-step bundle.

Here are some fun cards I designed using this stamping bundle.

#lindabauwin #happycelebrations

Look at the fun stars under the "for you".  This comes from a great Tag Bundle called "That's The Tag".  So love the look of the stars.  But wait there are more fun thinlits in this bundle.  There are flowers and butterflies that add the little extra not just to a tag but to a card too.

#happycelebrations #lindabauwin

This card shows off the fun deboss look the embossing folder gives with this great bundle.  This truly is something we have not seen yet in other catalogs.  So check out the video below for some more great ideas.

Check out the video below for this Two-Step Bundle but check back tomorrow for the Double-Take Technique.
