Fun Shares From My Weekend

#jodiedaniels #lindabauwin

Had to share some of the fun Jodie and I had this weekend.  We headed to Henrietta, New York to do a stamping day.  I have many members of my Stamp Family in the Rochester, New York Area.  So decided to plan a stamping day with them and Jodie went with me.

So we mixed a little side trip, with work, and went to Niagara Falls, New York for the afternoon.  Was a little windy but for a January day very nice.  And no crowds so even made it better.  So love that I have a job that allows me to travel and share it with Jodie.

#stampday #linda

On Saturday we did a stamp class for 50 ladies from the Rochester, New York area.  What fun!!

One of the most rewarding part of my job is to watch each women as they arrive for an event like this.  They all come in with life written all over their faces.  Each having issues going on in their world.  Doesn't matter, they all have work, family, health issues etc. that they left behind.  As they walked in to a room of over 20 stamp projects, they were in a totally different world.  The smiles, the renewing of old friendships or the meeting of new all made this day extra special.  Which is one of the greatest blessing of stamping.

#stampday #lindabauwin

So thank you ladies for helping made this day so amazing.  Until we meet again, whether it be at my upcoming Stamp Retreat in March or a future event in your area.

I would love for you to join my Stamp Family!!  Want more information?  Check it out, give Stampin' Up! a Test Drive.

What does 160 cards look like?

2017-01-06 11.41.13

So blessed to receive 160 cards in one day.  How you may ask?  Well I took part in seven organized swaps with other demonstrators, a perk of being a demonstrator.  What do I do with that many swaps?  I share them with you.

Jodie and I designed and stamped 160 of our own cards.  Then we sent them to the swap organizer and they swapped with the other demonstrators for us and returned them to us.

I know what you are think, but Linda you have so many of your own cards that you design, why do you need that many other samples?  Well I use them at classes, workshops and special events that I do for displays.  It is the best way to have lots of fun ideas to share.  As we all have are own style of stamping, by being in a swap it allows you to see other styles.

Yes I know about Pinterest, in fact I have many boards on Pinterest, but I am out school.  I want to hold the cards in my hands.

Want to see some of these beautiful cards, make sure you check them out in person at one of my events.   Check out those events on my calendar.

What an amazing event!

#mystery #lindabauwin

This past Saturday with temperatures in the teens and snow flakes in the air, I was so blessed to have close to 50 customers gather together for my annual Sale-a-Bration Mystery Hostess Event.  Many of these ladies travel up to 2 hours to stamp the afternoon away with the fellow stamping friends.  Many only see each other twice a year at my Mystery Hostess Events.

It has been nearly twenty years that I am have been doing events like this and every time it just warms my heart to see so many women in one women enjoying each other fellowship and their love for stamping.  Not to mention food, and boy do they bring the food.

#mystery hostess #lindabauwin

Rosie is our up in coming stamper, but she too had to set out all the food that was brought.

#mysteryhostess #lindabauwin

And of course the display boards are always such a big hit.

So thanks to all that attended.  Make sure you mark the calendar for June 17.  That will be the date for a Huge Garage Sale and another Mystery Hostess Event.

Something Different Today

#swirlybird #flowers #lindabauwin

I needed a brake from Christmas, so thought I would share this bright thank you card using the very poplar Swirly Scribbles and Hello Thinlit Dies.  It seems like years that I have been focusing on Christmas, so this is a welcome time out today for me.

I think the Swirly Scribbles Thinlit Dies has to be one of the most versatile dies we have.  Do you own it?  It is great for some many different looks.  So love it done with the Sweet Sugarplum Card Stock.  Think Sweet Sugarplum is my favorite in this year's In Colors Collection.

I can't wait to start sharing all the fun things Jodie and I have been working on with the New Occasions and Sale-a-Bration Catalog.  In fact today we are getting ready to mail out the catalogs.

#occasionssaleabration #lindabauwin

If you have ordered from me in the last 6 months, these catalogs should be in your mailbox next week. If you have not ordered from me in the last six months, and don't have a demonstrator, but would like these catalogs, just send me an e-mail with your snail mail address, and I will gt them out to you.  Yes you will be able to view online come Jan. 4 but if you are like be there is nothing like holding them in your hand.  You will be pleased with what you see inside.
