More Creative Fold Shares.

I have another Creative Fold Share from my Stamp Family Challenge.  This one is from Margie Vandergraff, from Noblesville, IN.  Margie created a beautiful Peek-a-Boo Flip Card.

#creativefoldcards #lindabauwin #8

This is the front of Margie's card.  She used the In Color Peekaboo Peach, pretty fitting for a Peek-a-boo Card wouldn't you say?  She used the Peekaboo Peach Ink, Card Stock, 2016-2018 Designer Series Paper and  2016-2018 In Color Enamel Dots.

The stamp set she chose for her creative fold is Swan Lake which you can find in the Occasions Catalog.  Here is the card open.

#creativefoldcards #lindabauwin #8o

Here are the measurements to make this card:

Here are the dimensions to make this card.

  • 8 1/2" x 11" Peekaboo Peach Card Stock scored at the 5 1/2" and then cut at the 4 1/4" making two A2 cards
  • Take one of the 4 1/4" x 11" pieces and cut at 8 1/4"
  • Take the other one and cut at 5 3/4"
  • 4 1/4" x 8 1/4" Whisper White scored at 4 1/4"

I did a video on how to cut this card, it a very simple creative fold.  Give it a try and then share your creations.

How To Add Color To Your Stamps

#cooltreatsbundle #lindabauwin

Today's video is a quick tip on how to add color to your stamps to make a word jump out.  I used the fun Bundle Cool Treats, found in the Occasions Catalog.  This bundle has the stamp set, called Cool Treats, that has 36 photopolymer stamps and a set of 17 matching framelit dies, in the Frozen Treat collection.

I used the new Lace Doilies for accent, along with Silver Foil for the spoon, and Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride and Early Espresso Card Stock to build my dish of ice cream.

The sizes of card stock I used for this card are:

I also used the Stitches Framelits Dies.  You can't find these dies in a catalog, as they are an early release.  I think they add so much to a card.  And match the Layering Oval, Squares and Circles Framelits.  You really get a lot of bang for your buck with these framelits.

Speaking of bang for your buck.  Why don't you give Stampin' Up! a Test Drive and purchase the Ultimate Bundle the Starter Kit?  This is the best time of the year to join Stampin' Up! and see what it's all about.  Not only will you get up to $251 worth of product for just $99, plus free shipping, you will get a discount on your future purchases.   That means product from the new catalog.  Not to mention you will be the first to see the new product.

Don't Be Disappointed When They Are Gone

It's that time of the year, when we start running low on supplies with the Sale-a-Bration Promotion, because they are while supplies last.

#cardtin #lindabauwin

The card tin is the first to be gone.  So don't delay as we get closer to the end of Sale-a-Bration you will find more items not being available.

The same goes for the Occasions Catalog.  We will find out what will not be carried over from that catalog soon.  Then that will be while supplies last.  We do know, that all the bundles in the Occasions will be gone.  Product may be available individually, but bundle prices will be gone.  So make sure you get those bundles you want at the discount.

PLAN AHEAD SO YOU ARE NOT DISAPPOINTED when it comes to the annual catalog.

It's that time of the year again......Stampin' Up! products will be retiring in a couple of months from the main catalog.  Every year, many of the Retiring In Color products sell out even before the retiring list is revealed!  I always recommend stocking up on your favorite colors NOW, before there is a chance they are gone!!!   And the perfect time is during Sale-a-Bration when you can earn Free Items with a $50 purchase.

#retiringsucolors #lindabauwin

Do you have the stamp pads???  Make sure to purchase refills!  They always seem to sell out fast.

What is your favorite retiring color?  Mine is the Tip Top Taupe.  Do you like the color???  Make sure to stock up on card stock and Designer Series Papers!

Another Shutter Card Design

#creativefoldcards #lindabauwin #5

Here is another Shutter Card Creative Fold that was done by Joyce Coppens from Williamson, NY.  She won third place with this creative fold, during my creative fold challenge to my Stamp Family.

All shutter cards are basically the same, you just cut and score in different places.  Love the Designer Series Paper Joyce used the Blooms and Bliss.  And look how nice the Avant Garden the free Sale-a-Bration Stamp looks with this designer paper.

Here are the directions Joyce shared on how to create this shutter card.

This Shutter Card is made from two pieces:

The base is 6" x 12"

Place 12" side across top of score board and score at 2", 4", 6", 8", and 10"
(Valley fold, mountain fold, valley fold, mountain fold, and valley fold)

Place 6" across top of trimmer and right side of paper at 5"
With blade at 2", cut from 2" up to 10" (first score to last score)
Rotate 180 degrees and repeat.

Place 12" across top of trimmer and right side of paper at 10"
With blade at 1", cut from bottom horizontal cut up to top horizontal cut
Rotate 180 degrees and repeat.

Remove center rectangle cut out

Continuing with 12" across top of trimmer:
Cut vertical 1/2 inch slots from inner cuts (top and bottom) of rectangle at 3", 5", 7", and 9".

Second piece is 4" x 8"
With 8" across top of score board, score at 2", 4", and 6"
(Valley fold, mountain fold, and valley fold)

Insert the 4" x 8" piece into the slots of the 6" x 12" piece

Layer and/or stamp as desired.

Sounds hard but once you do it once it's a snap.

Pop-Out Creative Fold

#creativefoldcards #lindabauwin #3

Today's post is another Creative Fold Card, that was made for my recent challenge to demonstrators in my Stamp Family.    This is a creative fold I can't wait to use, as I had never seen before.  It is called a Pop Out Creative Fold.

The card was made by Leigh Amburgey from Mentor, OH.  Leigh has a blog you will want to check out for some more great card ideas.

I love the front of the card.  It uses the Party Animal Designer Series Paper and the Dapper Denim 3/8" Ruched Ribbon.  But the best part for me are those adorable little candle.  Do you know where they are from?  I had no clue.  They are from the Cutie Pie Thinlits and she used the Gold Glitz on the flames.

And once you remove the Belly Band, you have the Pop Out.  All done with a standard 4 1/4" x 11" piece of card stock.  It is simply scored  along the 11" side at the 2 3/4", 5 1/2", and the 7 3/4".

Leigh used the Layering Circles for the Pop Out.  It is attached with a card stock braces on each side that measures 1/2" x 1". There is no doubt I will be doing this card in the near future to add to my Creative Fold Videos, so stay tune.
