How To Add Color To Your Stamps

#cooltreatsbundle #lindabauwin

Today's video is a quick tip on how to add color to your stamps to make a word jump out.  I used the fun Bundle Cool Treats, found in the Occasions Catalog.  This bundle has the stamp set, called Cool Treats, that has 36 photopolymer stamps and a set of 17 matching framelit dies, in the Frozen Treat collection.

I used the new Lace Doilies for accent, along with Silver Foil for the spoon, and Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride and Early Espresso Card Stock to build my dish of ice cream.

The sizes of card stock I used for this card are:

I also used the Stitches Framelits Dies.  You can't find these dies in a catalog, as they are an early release.  I think they add so much to a card.  And match the Layering Oval, Squares and Circles Framelits.  You really get a lot of bang for your buck with these framelits.

Speaking of bang for your buck.  Why don't you give Stampin' Up! a Test Drive and purchase the Ultimate Bundle the Starter Kit?  This is the best time of the year to join Stampin' Up! and see what it's all about.  Not only will you get up to $251 worth of product for just $99, plus free shipping, you will get a discount on your future purchases.   That means product from the new catalog.  Not to mention you will be the first to see the new product.

Pop-Out Creative Fold

#creativefoldcards #lindabauwin #3

Today's post is another Creative Fold Card, that was made for my recent challenge to demonstrators in my Stamp Family.    This is a creative fold I can't wait to use, as I had never seen before.  It is called a Pop Out Creative Fold.

The card was made by Leigh Amburgey from Mentor, OH.  Leigh has a blog you will want to check out for some more great card ideas.

I love the front of the card.  It uses the Party Animal Designer Series Paper and the Dapper Denim 3/8" Ruched Ribbon.  But the best part for me are those adorable little candle.  Do you know where they are from?  I had no clue.  They are from the Cutie Pie Thinlits and she used the Gold Glitz on the flames.

And once you remove the Belly Band, you have the Pop Out.  All done with a standard 4 1/4" x 11" piece of card stock.  It is simply scored  along the 11" side at the 2 3/4", 5 1/2", and the 7 3/4".

Leigh used the Layering Circles for the Pop Out.  It is attached with a card stock braces on each side that measures 1/2" x 1". There is no doubt I will be doing this card in the near future to add to my Creative Fold Videos, so stay tune.

I used the masking technique that I shared in a video a few days ago.  If you missed that video you can check it out here.   I did that video with the same beautiful set.

I used on this card Soft Sky, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz and Rich Razzleberry Classic Inks.

Want to see more Club Cards?

#birthdayblast #lindabauwin

Here is another card that Jodie created for club this month.   It was the biggest hit, but yet the simplest.  It used the Birthday Blast Bundle.  Why do we like the cards we do?

Have you ever fell in love with a card and asked yourself, what is it about this card I like?  Is it the color that makes the card stand out?  The embellishments?  The stamp set?  The layout?  The die cuts?  I think if you take a look at your cards in this way, you will be surprised what draws your attention to what card.

For me, this card is all about the color.  I love blue.  Jodie used the Party Animal Designer Series Paper, which has the beautiful Pacific Point for a focus color.  This color is so bright and cheery.

Would you like to join us next month for card club?  You can even if you aren't a member.  We make four cards each month and you can come free if you place a $25 order or just pay $8.  All you need to do is bring your own adhesive.

I hold two club class in my home in Jefferson.  They will be March 21 from 1-6 p.m. you can come anytime during that time.  Or on Saturday March 25 from 10 until noon.

I also hold a club class in Warren, OH that class will be held on Wednesday, March 22 starting at 6 p.m.

Let me know if you would like to attend.

Check Out All The Glimmer

Have you got your free pack of assorted 6" x 6" glimmer paper?  When you place an order of $50 you can get this paper free.  Check out today's video, this card shines.

#glimmerpaper #lindabauwin

I am very impressed with this glimmer paper when you cut it out with the framelits dies.  It cuts clean and crisp, with very little glitter mess.  It is always best, when possible, to cut on the paper side of the glitter paper.

You will see in the video, I used the got-to-have, Stylish Stems Framelits Dies which has a matching stamp set, Special Reason.  This does come as a bundle, and is so different than any framelits we have had in the past.  As you can just cut a negative image of the flower, if you want.

Glimmer paper can be a little tricky to adhere to your projects.  I am finding tat the Tombow Multi-Purpose Glue is becoming my best friend with this paper.  Did you check out the cute little butterfly it came from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.

I used the Lots of Labels layering framelits and the Festive Embossing Folder to create my background for the card.  Are you finding, like me, that is hard to have just a plain card stock background?  You just need to jazz it up a bit.

Time is running out to take advantage of Stampin' Up!'s Ultimate Bundle, the Starter Kit.  Why wouldn't you want to get over $200 worth of product for only $99 with free shipping?

Did you know by purchasing the kit you will be able to buy any of the retiring items from the annual catalog, plus all the new items in the 2017-2018 Catalog, at a minimum 20% discount.  Need more information? Check it out here.

Dish of Ice Cream?

#cooltreatsbundle #lindabauwin

Yummy this card looks good enough to eat.  Another club card from this week's classes created by Jodie.  Love the look of Cherry Cobbler and Basic Gray Card Stock together for this yummy card.

Check out the cute little spoon using the Silver Foil Paper.  Too cute.  And the Lace Doily just adds class to this card.  Did you notice that these doilies are vanilla on one side but white on the opposite.  So versatile

Jodie used the Cherry Cobbler Marker to highlight the word "cherry" in the verse "You're the Cherry to My Sundae".

Jodie is the cherry to my sundae.  I have so enjoyed her creating this month's club cards for me, as I am working to get all the projects done for the upcoming Stamp Retreat.  And to think she didn't stamp when she first became my assistant.

Speaking of the stamp retreat, there are just a few more openings, and registration will cut off on March 3rd, if we aren't full.  I must keep that date because I need to get your supplies ordered.  Each person attending Retreat, this time, will have $50 of product in their bag.  That doesn't include all the card and project kits cut and ready for you to do the projects.
