Oh doesn't this card look like spring? I know it is only the first of January, but here in Northeast Ohio I have had enough winter and am ready for spring. I used the Pink Pirouette with Basic Black and I am loving the look? Makes me think warmth and sunshine.
I first took the 5 1/4" x 4" Pink Pirouette Cardstock and cut out the oval with the Oval Collections Framelits. Some times when you cut things out with the framelits you get a crease in your cardstock, so if cut first and then run through the Big Shot with a folder it covers that crease up. Another thing is if you emboss with a folder first and then cut it can flatten your embossing.
Once again there is the beautiful new Embossing Folder from the Sale-a-Bration Flier Decorative Dots. Reminder starting January 28 every $50 you order you can pick a free Sale-a-Bration item.
WOW so excited to share my Fortieth Creative Fold Video with you. I think it is an over-the-top card, with not one but three Easels. It looks complicated, but it truly is not. Make sure you watch the video below, as I show you the simple step to create this card. Now to share all the product used on this card.
The first easel is a piece of Whisper White Cardstock measuring 4 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored in half. It is important to remember when cutting this to form the easel that you place the top part of the framelit above the score line. I used the next biggest heart framelit for this easel. I also scored about 1 1/2" from the point of the heart on the front of the card, this is the piece the red glimmer gets glued to.
Be careful when gluing the red glimmer heart that you don't put too much glue on your heart base. You just want on the bottom section of the score to form the Easel.
The second easel is made from a piece of Whisper White Cardstock that measures 3 3/4" x 8" scored in half and cut the same way as the first easel using the next smallest heart from the Heart Collection Framelit. Again I scored the front of this card about 1 1/2" from the tip of the heart.
The Black Heart on top of this easel is cut out of piece of Basic Black measuring 3 1/2" x 3 1/4". Again I need to stress watch how you put your adhesive on as not to use too much, so your easel will work. I used the Adorning Accents Embossing Folder the emboss. I accented with Silver Glimmer Hearts made from the Fashionable Heart Embosslits.
The third and final Easel is made from a piece of White White Cardstock 2 1/4" x 4" again scored in the middle and cut like the other two easels. I only scored this card front about 3/4" from tip of heart. You can vary these score lines to fit your taste. The Red Glimmer heart on top uses out red glimmer paper and cut out again with the Hearts of Flutter Framelits. I used the Happy Valentine's Day stamp Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set and the Modern Label Punch to punch out of a scrap piece of white.
Like I said this card is very easy to make I just used lots of product that I will list below the video. Of course, you need a die-cut machine. I personally believe the Big Shot is the best. It interchanges with so many other companies dies, where not all die-cut machines do . Enjoy if you make a triple easel card, please share it with me, as I would love to see.
Look at these colors Baked Brown Sugar, Tangerine Tango, Coastal Cabana, and So Saffron colors I would have never used together, if it had not been for the Occasion Catalog.
Yep Stampin' Up! did it again, they came out with a beautiful designer paper called Retro Fresh and used colors that I could have never dreamed to use together, but am loving it.
Look at all that is going on with this card as far as color, but yet I didn't stamp one thing. The designer paper takes care of all of that.
I used my new favorite punch the Petite Petals to punch out the designer paper and the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack fits perfectly in the center of these adorable little flowers. Don't forget the Petite Petals comes in a bundle with stamp set that matches and when you purchase together you save 15%.
Did you notice that I used the Apothecary Accents Framelits and the Stripes Embossing Folder? I so loved the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder that was in the Holiday Catalog, but since it retired, I found that I can take that stripes folder and turn it and get the same results, how cool is that.
Okay only 2 more days until I can start posting all my videos on the beautiful new product from the Occasions Catalog. Have you gotten your Occasion Catalog yet? If not, and you don't have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, let me know and I will get you a copy.
Every time a new catalog comes out, I think well there isn't anything I like or need in that catalog, does that ever happen to you? Then I get a few things start playing and I am in love with everything. So is the case with the Occasions Catalog.
This card has some of my favorite things in the catalog, first the Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Cards & Envelopes. OMG there are 20 printed cards on watercolor paper, 4 each of 5 designs with ivory envelopes. I am in love.
I am in love with the new bundle in the Occasions Catalog Petite Petals, if you purchased the Flower Shop Bundle from the main Catalog this is a must have. A petite little petal that will layer on top of the Flower Shop. And, as with all bundles if you purchase the stamp set and punch at the same time you get a 15% discount.
The next favorite thing on this card is the Banners Framelits Dies. Banners are all the hit right now and with 6 different sizes of banners your creativity can go wild. The largest image is 2 3/4" x 4 7/8" and uses the Big Shot and Standard Cutting Pads.
One more new thing used on this card is the words "You Make Me Happy" and they come from the stamp set Happy Watercolor. Every time I read those words, a smile comes on my face, as I think of some one that makes me happy. I am blessed to have many people in my life that make me happy. Number one person of course is my husband Jay.
I have been having so much fun in my stamp room creating with the new product from the upcoming Stampin' Up 2014 Occasions Catalog and the Sale-a-Bration Flier.
You can start purchasing from the Occasions Catalog on January 3. You should be getting your copy of this catalog in the mail any day if you have purchased from me within the last year. Haven't purchased from me in the last year, and do no have a demonstrator, let me know I will get a copy out to you.
This card is a card I will be featuring in my creative folds video come the first of the year. You want to be watching for it, or better yet subscribe to my YouTube Channel so you don't miss a video.
Do you see something else that is new? You got it a new embossing folder called Decorative Dots. And the price on this folder is FREE. Yes free with a $50 order placed between Jan. 28-March 31, 2014 during Stampin' Up!'s Biggest Sale of the year Sale-a-Bration. Again be watching your mailbox for this flier so you can check out all the other items that will be free during this amazing sale.
Need a quick little gift? Isn't this an adorable favor and you can make in minutes. Make sure you watch the video below to show you how I created it. I used a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" square envelope, but you can use this idea with any envelope to make a treat pocket.
You need to seal the envelope and then cut off the top part of the envelope right along the flap. In order to make the pocket though, you need to make the bottom section smaller. To do that I ran through the Big Shot with and embossing folder Petals-a-Plenty.
Like I said I used this to hold hot chocolate, but you can use for instant soup for a little get well gift or seed packets. Lots of different uses. Make sure you share what you do with this idea, and don't forget to leave a comment for free Blog Candy.

I used both the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and the 1/8" Silver Ribbon to tie the cellophane bag closed that holds that candy. A cute snowflake made with the Festive Flurry Framlit out of Red Glimmer Paper add a large pearl and your candy treat is done.
