Third Day of Birthday Celebration

Have you cashed in on my Special of 60 Free Embellishments for my birthday yet? Time is running out as my celebration ends on November 3. Not sure how to receive your 60 embellishments?  Check out all the details here.

I thought I would share a birthday card that I have made a few months ago.

Birthday Blossoms_Linda Bauwin

This card uses the Birthday Blossoms Stamp Set and the New In Color from this year Watercolor Wonder.  It may be hard to see by the picture, but I used the 1" Dotted Lace Trim along the bottom of the striped Designer Series Paper.  Just adds a little elegance to the card.

Time for your trivia questions for today.

Are you smarter then a 60 year old?

Faux Illusion Technique Video-Birthday Celebration Continues

  Faux Illusion Linda Bauwin

Today's video is a technique using the Faux Illusion with the Woodland Textured Embossing Folder.  So love this technique.

By stamping on the embossing folder it totally gives the card a 3-D look.

the size of the card was the standard 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" with the Early Espresso Card Stock being a 4" x 5 1/4" and the Pool Party 3 3/4" x 5" piece.

When you sponge some color on the raised embossed image it makes the image looked really raised off the card.  Give this technique a try and share your results with me.

Beautiful Retreat Weekend.

Camp Judson Bauwin

My Fall Stamp Retreat this weekend had God's beauty stamped all over it. The fall colors were at their peak.   And the fellowship of the ladies that were there made the weekend perfect.

2015 Fall Stamp Retreat Linda Bauwin

There were many first-timers this time.  But as I always tell them, they come in as strangers, they leave as friends.  That is what I seen again at this retreat.

There is just something about spending the weekend with a bunch of women and stamping.  It was hard for me to decide if I could pull this one off, but I am so grateful to everyone for getting me through it.

We had our usual name tag contest and the winners were over-the-top. Vicki Schoenbeck and Sandy Duncan taking the winning honors this time.

Curvy Keepsake Pumpkin Box

Curvy Keepsake Box Linda Bauwin

Check out this adorable Curvy Keepsake Pumpkin Box we made this weekend at my Stamp Retreat.  He was a big hit.

We used the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits, which have been so popular this last year.  In fact, I have a Pinterest Board just of different projects made with this thinlit.  Make sure you check it out.

To create this Pumpkin we used Pumpkin Card Stock and Ink with the stripe stamp from the Work of Art Stamp Set. The face was stamped with black and used the face from the Sparkly Seasons Stamp Set.

The adorable hat was done with a 2 1/2' and 1" Circle Punch and the Tree Punch, punched out of the Black Glimmer Paper then attached to one of our clothespins.   How cute is that?

It is highlighted by the wonderful Spider Web Doilies and a punched Bow, using our Designer Paper and our Bow Builder Punch.  Don't know of anyone who wouldn't want to get a Halloween treat in a cute package like this.

Check Project for Retreat Weekend

Stamp Retreat_Linda Bauwin

What a prime weekend to be "Stamping in the Woods" at Camp Judson. Pennsylvania and Ohio's Fall Colors are at their peek.  Which just adds to this fun stamping weekend.

I have been doing stamp retreats for over 8 years.  Most years up to three times in one year.  Every camp is so different not just with the projects, but those that attend.  This weekend is no different a lot of first-timers. And as always, it is not just for my local gals, I have several coming from out-of-state.

Thought I would share a picture of the projects we will be working on.

And watch for details for upcoming Retreats.  Working on a fun new twist to my retreats that you won't want to miss.
