How to Make an Iridescent Butterfly

Iredscent Butterfly_Linda Bauwin

Today's video is just a quick share to show you how to create an Iridescent Butterfly.  I used the Tip Top Taupe for my base card stock.  But you can do this technique with any card stock and get a totally different look.

I can't seem to get enough of the Butterfly Basic Bundle or the Watercolor Wings Bundle.  I hope you are in love with these two stamp bundles as much as I am, because I have some more YouTube Videos to post with these great bundles in the coming week.

Convention Highlights.

SU! Convention was last week in Salt Lake City and I have not had a chance to share the amazing time I had, because of my Stamp Family and you my customers.  I am honored to be part of the Top 100 Demonstrators from the US for the 15th year in a row.  So from the bottom of my heart, thank you for making this possible.

I was also recognized for another huge milestone and that is my career-to-date sales is over $900,000 mark.  OMG this is so amazing, as I told Jay I only wanted to do this 18 years ago for three months.  Again I could not of done this without each of you.

And I got to celebrate this accomplishment with two very dear ladies Susan Nygaard from Sioux Falls, SD and Ruth Snyder from Buxton, MA.   Ladies I would have never meant if it had not been for Stampin' Up!  So grateful.

Something else that was new this year at convention was Prize Patrol, which is always a highlight of convention, but this year more so as EVERYONE won.  Here is a picture of Sheryl Wheatley from Poland, OH and Cindy Thayer from Rochester, NY showing off their winning.

Are you ready to join our Stamp Family and get in on the excitement?

and you will be able to get what you want from the Holiday Catalog in your kit.  Why not and be part of the excitement.

Creative Butterfly Fold Card

Flutterby Card_Linda Bauwin

When I went to create today's creative fold video, I had the idea in my head.  I wanted to creative a fold for the Watercolor Wings Butterflies, so it looked like they were flying.  Well the card at the top was my first card attempt.  I put too much adhesive on my Butterfly Wings, so they didn't fly off the card like I wanted.  They just kind of sit and flutter.

Creative Butterfly Fold Card_Linda Bauwin

This is the look I was going for.  Butterflies flying out of the card.  The picture really doesn't do the card justice.  It is very impressive to open this card and see all the butterflies.  But then of course right now I am in love with this set and framelits.

In the video, I also show you how to add some soft color to the Fluttering Embossing Folder.  Just this little bit of color sure changes the look of this folder.  Make sure you check it out.

Don't forget I have a Watercolor Wings Stamp of the Month Kit using this beautiful bundle.  Already have the bundle? No problem you can substitute other product for the price of the product, so that you can get my exclusive card tutorial.

My Work Uniform

Well today is Monday, usually not my most productive day of the week, normally.  I wrote this post before leaving for Stampin' Up!'s Convention, so that I would continue to have blog posts while I was gone.  I seen this picture before leaving and I had a good laugh.

PJ _Linda Bauwin

As I am almost positive I will still have my PJ'S on when you read this post.  One thing nice about working at home I can work in my PJ'S'  And if I don't feel like putting on make-up or doing my hair its okay, too.  Glad I have an awesome assistant who doesn't care what I look like when she comes to work all dressed up.

This morning, if plans went accordingly, yesterday we should have gotten home around 11 last night and it will be a very unproductive day.  As jet lag is always worse coming home.

But in the next couple days I will back in the saddle and ready to share some awesome new things with you.

Does Pinterest Inspire You?

Pinterest_Linda Bauwin

I hope Pinterest Inspires you to get up and stamp.  That is what it is intend to do.  But as the sign says some days I get caught up with Pinterest and that is all I accomplish.  How about you?

I would rather stamp than cook, so I find myself pinning recipes by the hundreds and that's it.  Looking at the beautiful pictures and thinking I will make it, but it isn't happening.

Getting on Pinterest to be inspired to stamp, is a different story.  I have tried to of course limit my time to search Pinterest, as I can get on and forget to get off.  So I do it first thing in the morning.  My goal is one cup of coffee then I must get off.

Then I challenge  myself once I have been on Pinterest, to go create at least one thing that I saw.  I use to print a picture of the project, but then I just ended up with a stack of paper.

So I challenge you to give this a try, and let me know if you have success. Caution don't get on Pinterest unless you know you can take some time to go create.

Did you now I have 118 boards on Pinterest?  Yes some of them are great looking recipes that I haven't tried.  But there are 8961 pins must being paper craft related.  So go check me out on Pinterest.

Color Me Irresistible Designer Paper

Irresistible Speciality_Linda Bauwin

Check out the new Color Me Irresistible Specialty Designer Series Paper from the new catalog.  In my video, I call it Color Me Irresistibly Designer Paper, no clue why.   It is like the designer paper we had during Sale-a-Bration.  It has the embossed images, so you can do the resist technique. The difference is there are colored sheets in the pack too.  They match the new In Colors, along with the white sheets.  You can even do the resist technique on the colored sheets.

Garden in Bloom_Linda Bauwin

Today's video features lots of new product, including the Garden in Bloom Stamp Set.  This is a beautiful three-step stamping set that I will be showcasing late in August as a Stamp of the Month Kit.  If you loved Lotus Blossom from Sale-a-Bration you are going to fall in love with this set.

Did you see the video I did last week?  I used this set and showcased some tips of stamping with it.  If you didn't see you need to check it.

Also feature in this video the New 5/8" Striped Cotton Ribbon that matches the In Colors that were released last year.  It is the Hello Honey that I used on this card.

Christmas in July

Next week is the start of my Christmas Card Club.  I am so excited to start sharing all the wonderful cards these ladies will be doing during club.

Did you know you do not have to be a club member to attend these card classes?  All you need to do is let me know you are coming a week ahead a time, and bring your own adhesive.  The class fee is $8, but if you decide to purchase $25 or more the class is free.

I do these classes in my stamp studio on Tuesday from 1-6 p.m. or Saturday 10 until noon.  I also do the same thing in Warren, Ohio and the night for their club class is on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Can't make it this month?  No problem I have  more classes scheduled for the next 5 months.  Check out the my calendar.

Two of the cards this month use the beautiful Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set that was in last year's Holiday Catalog.  And neither one of them use the wreath stamps to stamp a full wreath.

The first card just uses the framelits from the bundle and makes a foil wreath.

The second card uses the wreath to form a swag for the Christmas Candles
