Double Slider Card

  Open Double Slider_Linda Bauwin

Today's Creative Fold Video features a Double Slider Card with the Build a Birthday Stamp Set.  This is a set of 8 photopolymer stamps that is great for any birthday card.

That is why I am featuring this set as a Stamp of the Month Kit this month.  You will want to check back tomorrow for all the details of this Stamp of the Month Kit.  For today sit back and enjoy this creative fold that is part of this kit.

The base of the card is your standard 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of card stock that is scored at 2 3/4", 5 1/2" and 8 1/4".  You will need the 1 3/8" Circle Punch and the Word Window Punch to create the opening and slide.

All you need to make the slide part of this card is the large Cellophane Bags that measure 4" x 6".  You cut a strip off this bag that measures 1 1/4".

The slides themselves are made with two pieces of Watermelon Wonder Card Stock that measure 2 1/2" x 3 1/2", and two pieces of Whisper White that measure 2 1/4" x 3 1/4".

The Designer Series Paper that is wrapped around measures 4" x 6" and comes from the Cherry of Top Paper Stacks.  Have you checked these paper stack out yet?

There are a great source of lots of fun design paper patterns.  Each Paper Stack comes with 48 sheets of 6" x 6" double-sided paper.  There are 12 different patterns and you get 4 sheets of each pattern for only $8.00. What a deal!

This is the first time that I used the new Tear and Tape being sold by Stampin' Up! in the new catalog.  Oh my I am in love.  No more pieces of red sticky tape all over.  You need to give it a try also because I guarantee you will love it like me.

What is your favorite?

For the last month I have put a challenge out to my Stamp Family, those demonstrators on my TEAM, to share their creativity with the group.  And share they have.  I am so blessed with many talented stampers.

Each week I have awarded some of my Stamp of the Month Kits to these creative stampers.  But as you will see, it has been a challenge to pick the winning entry each week.  Glad I have selected a group of customers to do this because it is a hard job.

Would you like to be part of a fun stamp community?  We would love for you to Join Us.  You can find more details about joining here.

These items are not just mine, as I allow my customers to bring their items also. So I don't even know what all the bargains will be.  I do know you want to get there early for the best selection.

After doing your paper craft purchasing, check out the other activities going on in town during our Jefferson Days Festival.  There are lots of garage sales and community booths set up throughout town.

Then come back to the center at 1 p.m. and make 4 make-n-take products for free.  That's right.  Get your hands on new SU! product.  After the make-n-take we will be having a Mystery Hostess Event and will be giving away hostess benefits, so come spend the day with us.  Here is a sample of one of the cards you will be making using the Watercolor Wings Stamp Set and the New Brick Wall Folder..

Butterfly Coloring Tips

Watercolor Wings_Linda Bauwin

Today's video features my favorite bundle in the new Stampin' Up! Catalog Watercolor Wings, with the Bold Butterfly Framelits.  When you purchase this bundle you save 15%, and you get a photopolymer stamp set that has 15 stamps, plus 2 matching framelit dies.

I truly can't get enough of this bundle.  Maybe it is because I fell in love with stamping because of two-step stamping.  Well this set  is a three-step stamping set.  So today, I am going to show you some coloring tips with the set.  Check out these color combos.

Water Wings Color Tips_Linda Bauwin

If you love this bundle like me, why not purchase it through my Stamp of the Month Program?  Don't know about Stamp of the Month?  Check it out.  Then look at what you get with the Watercolor Wings Stamp of the Month Kit.

The number one question I get all the time is, I purchased this set from you because I fell in love with one card you made with it.  Now I don't know what else to do with this set.  Well when you purchase a Stamp of the Month Kit you never have to worry about that again.  As my kits have any where for 5-10 card tutorials, with videos when needed, to explain a card.  And of course, all of my Stamp of the Month Kits feature a creative fold, that is a given.  I try to use every stamp in the set.  So if you have not tried my Stamp of the Month Kits this may be the time.

Time to Glimmer

Have you checked out the Weekly Specials yet this week from Stampin' Up!?  They are all a glimmer.

Did you notice the mini treat bag is on sale too?  Perfect for tucking in a little gift, or those ever popular gift cards.  And the treat bag goes together so quickly.  Here is a great video created by Stampin' Up! on just how easy the bag goes together.

Still have a few more of the Stamp of the Month Kits for this month left.  Not sure what the Stamp of the Month Kits are all about, you can check out here.

Reverse Pleated Gate Fold Card

Reverse Pleated Gate Fold_Linda Bauwin

Today's creative fold video features a Reverse Pleated Gate Fold Card.   I did a creative fold doing a pleated gate fold a few months back.  You can check that video here.

Timeless Elegance DSP_Linda Bauwin

I love the creative fold in this video, but the designer series paper I used Timeless Elegance is so stunning.  This picture doesn't do it justice.

The design of the new Heartfelt Sympathy Stamp Set goes so well with this designer series paper.  This stamp set is a set of 6 photopolymer stamps.

The card base is your standard 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" card stock.  I used Sahara Sand.  You score it at 2", 3 1/8", 5 3/8" and 6 1/2".  That's it.  Doesn't get easier then that.

For the pleated panels you will need three pieces of designer paper.  Two that measure 1 1/2" x 5" and one that measures 1 3/4" x 5".  I used Basic Black for a background behind the designer paper.

Those pieces measures 2" x 5 1/4" for one, and two pieces that measured 1 3/4" x 5".

The sizes of card stock for the verse are Sahara Sand 3 1/4" x 3 3/4", Basic Black 3" x 3 1/2" and Very Vanilla is the piece I stamped on and it measures 2 3/4" x 3 1/4".

You need to give this creative fold a try, as it is very stunning but super simple to make.  Then make sure you send me a picture of your card.

WOW Blog Hop

Blog hop

On Saturday, I was part of the Creative Inking Blog Hop.  This was our sixth month for this hop.   I will have to say it was by far the best one so far. Some amazing talented women take part.

We started this blog thinking we would give it a try for six months.  Just to see how it went.  Well everyone is loving it, so I am excited to report we will continue.

The theme this month was favorite new set.  Since there are so many neat sets this year in the catalog, there was lots of creativity shared.  I love all the projects shared on the hop.  But I thought I would share my favorite in case you missed it.

Did you take a look at all the entries?   If you didn't, or if you want to take a look again, click here, as you really don't want to miss any of these posts. Then tell me which was your favorite.

Here is my favorite.

Tree Builder Punch Reindeer11-imp

Check Out this adorable reindeer Susan Campfield created using the tree builder punch.  I so love it when people think outside the box like this.  And if this wasn't enough look at her watermelon bag.
