Banner Flip Card

DSCN2954

Today's Creative Fold Video I am calling a Banner Flip Card.

Why?  Because the Banner Flips opens up on the front to form your card.

Love the colors, Wisteria Wonder and Blackberry Bliss, to make a spring wreath.  Do you have the Wondrous Wreath Bundle yet?

Wisteria Wonder Banner measures 2 11/16" x 5 1/2" the card base is the standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and the Very Vanilla Banner is just the largest banner from the banner collections cut out of a scrap piece of very vanilla.

This bundle is in the Holiday Catalog, which means come the end of December we will not know if it will be retried or not.  This one of those bundles that you can use all year long.

Last Retreat Share

Welcome kanab

Every year going to our manufacturing faculty is always a highlight of the Founder's Circle Retreat.

This year was especially exciting as we got to see how photopolymer stamps are made.  I was shocked at all the process these stamps go through.

I, personally over the last 13 years, have seen many changes.  First I visited a small manufacturing faculty with one oven, and now to the state of the art faculty of today.  This manufacturing plant makes three different types of stamps, plus regal collection ink pads, and cuts and packages our own cardstock.

As we pulled up with three huge buses full of demonstrators, the employees are always lining the sidewalks with signs thanking us.  It is also so heart warming.

Well this year, the demonstrators decided to carry our own thank you signs and to hand the employees thank you cards and little 3-D items along with treats.

Little did we know that must of these employees have been working 10 to 12 hours a day trying to keep up with the demand.

Dining hall

We ended our visit with a lovely baroque dinner with all the employees.  I am so thankful for each one of them as they make my job easy.

More Founder's Retreat Sharing.

I wanted to share some more fun pictures from my Founder's Circle Retreat.  It was such a great time and the memories and friendships are priceless.

Gathering place

The Gathering Place is were we went each day for our prize and snacks.  Of course there was lots of Chocolate and where you could do your make-n-takes.  The decor reminded you of a Christmas Family Room.

Gingerbread house

The first night we were divided into TEAMS before dinner.  My TEAM was the Gingerbread Gals.  Members were front Sandy Hancock, top left Winona Semler, Susie Wood, me, Christina Crawford, Gail Lowe, and Jodi Reinert.

Here is the Gingerbread House we built.  I had never built a Gingerbread House so it was a fun project.  Felt pretty good ours held together.  Other TEAMS were not that luck.

I am so glad SU! divides us up in to TEAMS.  I knew everyone on my TEAM accept for Gail.  This was her first time to Founder's.  It was such a joy to get to know her.

Confetti Star Punch

Confetti star punch_Christmas Card

Today's What's Up with Stampin' Up! Video is a follow up video from yesterday's WOW Moment In and Out Embossing Video.

I used the Confetti Star Punch across the top of the Whisper White Cardstock that I did the In and Out Embossing Technique on yesterday.  I adhered this piece to a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of gold fold paper.

I love the look of the stars with the Gold Foil behind.

I took the words from the Bright & Beautiful Stamp Set and embossed them with the Gold Metallic Ink and Gold Powder.  And then layered that piece with a piece of gold foil paper also.

To add a little dimension to the card when I used the Itty Bitty Accent Star Punch and punched out a star with the gold foil.

This is such a fast and easy card but it sure is elegant.

Do you have your Christmas cards started?

I always feel if I don't get done my done by the end of October, they aren't going to get down.  What about you, when do you feel you need to have your Christmas Cards completed?

In and Out Embossing

In and Out Embossing_Linda Bauwin

Today's WOW Stamping Moment Video features In and Out Embossing.  I know it is hard to see in the picture but this is so cool in person.

It gives you the effect that you have punched and layer on top.  I find this technique works the best with embossing folders that are not solid images.

This is another two-part video series.  Tomorrow I will use this background on the front of a very stunning but simple Christmas Card.

Do you live in Northeast Ohio/Northwestern PA?  I still have a few openings for my Fall Stamp Retreat in Springfield, PA.  Would love for you to join us.

Peek-a-Boo Creative Fold

Peek-a-Boo-Creative Fold_Linda Bauwin

Time for this week's creative fold card and I am calling this my Peek-a-Boo Card.  Not really sure if there is a name for this style of card or not.

I used the beautiful Color Me Autumn Designer Paper.  I so love how Stampin' Up!'s colors match so well.

I also used the For All Things Stamp Set along with the beautiful Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set. Don't forget to check out my Pinterest Board .

The card base is Soft Suede 5 1/3" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" and then cut at 6".  The 2 1/2" piece I cut off I cut it down to 1".

I also used a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock 4"x 5 1/4"

The Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper one piece is 3/4" x 5 1/2" and the other one is 1 3/4" x 5 1/2"
