Stamping Journey Is About Friendships

I have said so many times that stamping is so much more then paper and ink.   Yes it has given me a good living and has sent me on many wonderful trips, but it is truly about the friendships.  On a day to day basis at home, I am continually blessed with my downline and customers.  These wonderful people have helped me so much during these last several months to pick up the pieces and to move forward.

The blessings of friendship continued on the trip to Salt Lake Cit.  I got to meet Cheryl Abe from California and  Valerie Kiliayashi from Hawaii.   These two ladies came to OnStage with gifts for me as they follow me on my blog and YouTube.

Check out the leis they brought.  And the pink one is crochet with beautiful pink flowers.  I was so touched by their loving hearts.

After OnStage was finished Jodie and I went to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Taping for their TV Show.  Simple amazing.  The picture below is not a postcard, it was taken with my phone.  It was simply breathtaking.

As we were leaving I hear aren't you Linda Bauwin?  There was a demonstrator at the taping from England.  She knew me from my videos.  But with all those people she spotted me and wanted to meet me.  I was so taken back I forgot her name, so if you know who she is please let me know. but she came up and wanted my picture.  Just made me feel so good.

If you would love to be part of a stamp family I would love to share with you about the opportunities.

More Highlights From a Million Dollar Trip

#onstagemilestone

These two ladies, Cindy Baughman from Hawaii, and Kim Williams from Butler, PA where so instrumental in me hitting my Million Dollar Milestone at this time.  You see I knew I would hit it some day, but after Jay's passing I didn't want to take the trip to celebrate when I did hit it.

During a conference call with thee two they were like we will go with you and celebrate.  The more we talked, we realized we all were approaching career milestones.  We all three were planning on gong to OnStage, so we thought why not give it a try. Cindy was close to her $500,000 in personal sales, and Kim was close to her $600,000.  I personally didn't know if I could do it.

We had a deadline approaching in which we'd had to reach it so we could celebrate it at the OnStage event together.  I had even a stronger desire to earn at that time.  You see I am taking my Assistant, Jodie Daniels, with me on the incentive trip and I knew she had never flown before.  So if I earned the million dollar milestone, SU! would fly two first-class to OnStage and Jodie would get to fly before our Mediterranean Cruise.

Even though it was a bit of a reach for all of us, we set our goals and encouraged each other to give it our all.  With lots of prayer, support from amazing customers and friends and a lot of hard work we all reached the milestone goals we had set.  The power of prayer and friendship.

I wanted to keep it low key with the celebration.   We were to go to The Roof for dinner on our finally night.  But as I turned the corner into the restaurant I found out Cindy and Kim had planned a celebration with some very dear friends.  There made beautiful sunflower decorations.  I immediately began to cry and said, "I told you guys I didn't need any FANFARE!!"  immediately Rich Griffith, who was standing nearby says to me, "Linda, this isn't about FANFARE, this is about FAMILY".   Rich, is Dawn Griffiths husband, and he is so adorable.  He has a heart like my Jay.  I am so blessed to have these amazing people in my life.

Peek-a-Boo Creative Fold Card

#creativefold, #peek-a-boocard #lindabauwin

Today's creative fold video features the beautiful Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper.  I am so sad to have this paper retiring as I so love it.  Also retiring from this card is the 2 1/2" Circle and the 2 3/8" Scallop Punch.  Also items that I will miss.  As of writing this post all three of these items are available.  So if you do not have in your collection you can still order.

Today's creative fold starts with a piece of card stock that measures 4 1/4" x 11" and it's scored along the 11" side at 2 1/2" and 6 3/4"  I used the 2 1/2" circle punch to punch the hole for the peek-a-poo part of the card make sure you watch the video for placement.

I used a piece of the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper that measured 2 1/4" x 4" and one that measured 4" x 4" for the front of the card.

The 2 3/8" Scallop Pinch is a Peter fit for inside the 2 1/3" opening and the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies is a beautiful accent on top of the scallop.

Swap Shares From Our Kick-Off Party

As I shared yesterday we had a Kick-Off Party to celebrate and thank our team members before the start of OnStage..

Kim did a great job capturing the swap so I am sharing from her blog.  So this is a CASE blog post.  Thank you Kim.   Of course we used the "Apple of My Eye" stamp set as the swap theme. This set is just adorable - AND it will be retiring soon, so if you have had your "eye" on this one, get it soon!

Check out the awesome swaps created by our talented team members. All cards were made with the "Apple of My Eye" stamp set. Such a great variety!  Kim was so gracious and photoed them so I am using her photos.  She is such a dear friend.

I am going to post a few of the swaps. Here's a pile of them:

This cute lemon card was made by : Alyssa Trunzo. Alyssa used dazzling diamonds glitter to sparkle up the lemon and the softly falling emboss folder to give this card texture.

IMG_8548

This beautiful citrus card was made by : Raelene Ellenberger. Raelene used hello honey and mossy meadow inks along with the circle framelits dies and some silver thread and striped hello honey ribbon. She also used the decorative dots emboss folder and the heart punch from itty bitty accents punch pack to give this card some dimension.

Kristi used tangerine tango ink and the clear wink of stella pen on the oranges, then she covered them with crystal effects. Yum.

IMG_8538

This adorable "out of the box" card was made by: Zeny Lucey

Zeny used the Love Blossoms designer paper and a variety of circle punches on this card.

IMG_8541

Cindy used the deco label framelits for the shape of the apple.

IMG_8544

Kim made this vibrant card with tangelo twist, hello honey, real red and mossy meadow inks and cardstocks, and added a strip of striped cotton ribbon in tangelo twist.

IMG_8542

This refreshing lemonade card was made by Sheryl Wheatley. Sheryl used the uber cool bokeh technique, some velum and striped designer paper to make this darling card.

IMG_8540

This cute basket of apples was made by Cindy Thayer.  She used the Berry Basket die to form the basket and the Farmers Market designer series paper for the background.

Here is my swap.  I will be sharing how I did in the coming days in a video.

Highlights from OnStage

#onstage2016 Kim and Cindy

Before OnStage started I was blessed to do a group meeting with these two lovely ladies, Cindy Baughman from Hawaii and Kim Williams from Butler, PA.  I served with these two lovely ladies on Advisory Board several years ago.  Our friendships have grown stronger and stronger each year.

Cindy is such a theme girl and is very into detail.  Kim is the one that keeps us organized and moving forward.  I am a good Indian they tell me what it is they want me to help with and I am all over it.  We selected the theme "Apple of My Eye", because our TEAMS are the Apple of Our Eyes.  We used the set from the Occasions Catalog "Apple of My Eye".  Check Out the adorable place settings.  The tables looked so lovely.

#onstage2016 apple

WE had such a wonderful kick-off party with these lovely ladies from all three of our TEAMS.  They enjoyed getting to know each other.

Faux Layered Card

Faux Layering Card Linda Bauwin

Today's video teaches you how to do  faux layering on a card.  This technique is a great way to add depth to your card but without countless layers of card stock.

I used the beautiful Birthday Blooms Stamp Set and Blackberry Bliss.  So sad that Blackberry Bliss is an In Color that is retiring this year.  And since I am scheduling this post it could be already gone by now. Will miss that color.  I used the Wink of Stella to add a watercolor and shimmer to the card.

Really doesn't get easier then this for a stamp technique.

Remember check out the Retiring Accessories and Stamp Sets in my Online Store and to use Hostess Code FF2EHGWW to receive my Loyalty Points, and a free gift.

Springing into Flowers-Creative Inking Blog Hop

Blog hop

So excited for another Creative Inking Blog Hop.  So love the theme Springing into Flowers, as I love spring time. Unfortuatnely has not looked a lot like spring in northern Ohio lately.  Hope you are joining me from Dena's post.  I am sure she had some amazing things to share with you.

I am sharing from the Botanical Blooms Bundle from the Occasions Catalog.  It is probably one of my favorite bundles and it comes so complete with stamp set, framelits and designer series paper.   Check out this card I did with the products from that bundle.

Botanical Blooms Stamp of the month Card 7 Linda Bauwin

This card is so beautiful but it sure doesn't look like spring.  So I wanted to show you that you can make this beautiful bundle in to a spring card just by changing up the colors.

Creative Inking Blog Hop Linda Bauwin

Now that is Springy.  And check out the It's My Party Enamel Dots from the Occasions Catalog.  They are finally in stock and are a simply beautiful embellishment for spring.

Creative Cut Card

Today is normally my Creative Fold Video.  Well when I started to design the card I was going for a Creative Fold, but what I ended up with was a Creative Cut Card instead.  Hope you enjoy it anyways.

Creative Cut Card Linda Bauwin

I started with a piece of Whisper White Thick Card Stock (#140272) that measurerd 4 1/4" x 11" .  If you have not used this card stock you need to give it a try.  It is wonderful when you want to do lots of layering on a card.  I will caution you though, you really need to score it with your score board or personal trimmer, as a bone fold just doesn't make it with this card stock.

I scored the card at the 5 1/2" and after running through the Confetti Embossing Folder I cut off 2" from embossed side and then another 1.5" .  Watch the video for how I then adhered the card together.

I used the Hello You Thinlits (#137363) that coordinates with the Crazy About You Stamp Set (#137137), Corrugated Paper (#138317), Color Me Irresistible Specialty Designer Series Paper (#138439) all products that I have not used for along time.  I challenge you to look in your stamp room and use something that you have not used for awhile or not at all.  You will be surprised at your creation.  And then share it.
