Excitement Continues

Look what I received last week.  My travel vouchers, luggage tags, and itinerary for my next adventure.

Can you believe this?  Jodie and I are about to go on a 7-day all expense paid cruise to the Mediterranean.  Thanks to Stampin' Up!  and my wonderful customers.  It gets even better I get to go with my best buds, you know the ones I just spent time with in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Do you have perks like this at your job?  I use to say that Stampin' Up! wasn't a job.   I love what I do and get perks that you don't get at a regular job.  But I found that to be misleading.  You have to work at a job and I have to work at my Stampin' Up! Business to get these perks, but it is so worth it.  I guess when you do what you love it doesn't seem like a job.

When you think about it a month ago my assistant, Jodie, had never flown before.  Now in a few short weeks she will be headed to the Mediterranean.   God has sure blessed me with her!  She will tell you the other way around, but I am the one blessed with her as a travel companion.  God continues to amaze me how he provides for your needs some times before you even know you have the need.  Jodie is a perfect example of that.

Chevron Creative Fold Card

Adventure's in Stamping Chevron Card Linda Bauwin

Today's Creative Fold Video is the Chevron Fold Card that we did at the Adventure's in Stamping Stamp Convention as a make-a-take a free weeks ago.  I finally got the video done.

The card base is Mint Macron and it measures 5 1/2" x 7 1/2" and it's scored at the 3 3/4" mark.  The Melon Mambo piece measures 3" x 5 1/4" .  You will need 5 pieces of designer series paper that measure 1" x 2 1/2".  I used the It's My Party Designer Paper.  This is such a cool way to use scrap designer paper, and once again a way to show both sides of the paper.

Wanted to show you another card I did recently with a Sneak Peak at the New 2016-2017 In Colors and the New Designer Series Paper Stack Playful Palette, along with a new stamp set called Love & Affection.  I used the 2016-2017 In Color Markers to color the flowers at the bottom.  What do you think?  I am thinking I love the new 2016-2017 In Colors.

Check out these new In Colors.  How would you like a sampler with all 5 In Colors run through all 6 of the New Embossing Folders?  Sound interesting?  You will want to stay tune, as I will announce an Exclusive Promotion in the coming days that will allow you to get your hands on 30 embossed In Color Sampler Sheets.

A Special Card from Some One Special

#dawngriffiths #lindabauwin #creativefolds

As I shared a couple of days ago, Cindy Baughman and Kim Williams held a very special celebration dinner in honor of my accomplishment at the The Roof Restaurant in Salt Lake City.  So blessed that many of my stamping sisters (& brothers) were there.

Well Dawn and Richard Griffiths were there and they brought me this very special picture frame card.  Isn't it beautiful.  It uses the soon to be retired "Feel Goods" stamp set.  Don't have this stamp set?  Well it has several fun verses that you may want to check out.

The picture really doesn't do it justice.  If you would like to learn how to make this card, Dawn has done a couple videos on it.

There is a video for the flower that you can view here.  And Dawn did another video for the frame card itself.  So honored to get this card from her and for Richard and her to attend my party.

Don't forget to get those retiring stamps sets and accessories before they go, list is here.  And if you use Hostess Code FF2EHGWW in my Online Store I will send you a FREE gift.

A Breathtaking Flight

A breathtaking trip indeed as we glided across Park City Skies at 11,000 feet.  This was something I asked to do as part of my Million Dollar Trip.  There are no words to explain the beauty of looking over the Salt Lake Valley at this height.  It is completely quiet except when the heat is kicked in to keep us up.

When they asked for volunteers Jodie was the brave one.  She jumped in to help hold down the balloon as they filled it with air.  Mind you that there was snow on the ground still in the mountains and she was holding the opening while they blew cold air into the balloon.  What a brave women.

This took a little time as the balloon was huge.

The view from the air was so beautiful.  It will be a trip we will talk about for along time.  So very grateful to experience this with Jodie.

Million Dollar Stay

Thought I would share with you about Jodie and my Million Dollar Stay at the Grand America in Salt Lake City.   This is the hotel Stampin' Up! told us to after OnStage.  I have never stayed in a suite quite like this with door bell and maid service.  The entry hall was bigger then most hotel rooms I have stayed in.

#grandamerica Jodie

Inside the front doors was a beautiful chandelier with a fresh flower arrangement that they changed the flowers in every morning.  The smell of the fresh flowers was so beautiful.

There was a beautiful open air section in the middle of the hotel with beautiful flower gardens and a fountain.  Was so peaceful to go out there and sit and look at the beautiful Utah sky.  So love the beautiful blue skies out there.

It surely was a trip of a life time that I will never forget.  Was so glad to be able to show Jodie a piece of Utah as I just love it out there.

A Nice Cuppa Card

#cuppa #tea Linda Bauwin

Today's video is a perfect reason why you need to look over the Retirement List very carefully and get items ASAP, before they retire.  I did this video a couple of weeks ago and now when I am ready to share I see that the Cup & Kettle Framelits are retired.  The stamp set is available though so decided to go ahead a share the video.

I also used two other items on this card that are retiring and both are must in my stamping world right now.  I will truly miss them.  The one is the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and the Tea Lace Paper Doilies.  So if you have not gotten them you may want to before they are gone.

I am so excited that my YouTube Channel has past 10,000 subscribers and is fast approaching a million views.  OMG that is so exciting.  I started playing around with YouTube about 7 years ago but really did get serious about it until about 3 years ago.  So grateful for my viewers.

Stamping Journey Is About Friendships

I have said so many times that stamping is so much more then paper and ink.   Yes it has given me a good living and has sent me on many wonderful trips, but it is truly about the friendships.  On a day to day basis at home, I am continually blessed with my downline and customers.  These wonderful people have helped me so much during these last several months to pick up the pieces and to move forward.

The blessings of friendship continued on the trip to Salt Lake Cit.  I got to meet Cheryl Abe from California and  Valerie Kiliayashi from Hawaii.   These two ladies came to OnStage with gifts for me as they follow me on my blog and YouTube.

#newfriends Linda Bauwin

Check out the leis they brought.  And the pink one is crochet with beautiful pink flowers.  I was so touched by their loving hearts.

After OnStage was finished Jodie and I went to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Taping for their TV Show.  Simple amazing.  The picture below is not a postcard, it was taken with my phone.  It was simply breathtaking.

#morontaberaclechoir #lindabauwin

As we were leaving I hear aren't you Linda Bauwin?  There was a demonstrator at the taping from England.  She knew me from my videos.  But with all those people she spotted me and wanted to meet me.  I was so taken back I forgot her name, so if you know who she is please let me know. but she came up and wanted my picture.  Just made me feel so good.

If you would love to be part of a stamp family I would love to share with you about the opportunities.

More Highlights From a Million Dollar Trip

These two ladies, Cindy Baughman from Hawaii, and Kim Williams from Butler, PA where so instrumental in me hitting my Million Dollar Milestone at this time.  You see I knew I would hit it some day, but after Jay's passing I didn't want to take the trip to celebrate when I did hit it.

During a conference call with thee two they were like we will go with you and celebrate.  The more we talked, we realized we all were approaching career milestones.  We all three were planning on gong to OnStage, so we thought why not give it a try. Cindy was close to her $500,000 in personal sales, and Kim was close to her $600,000.  I personally didn't know if I could do it.

We had a deadline approaching in which we'd had to reach it so we could celebrate it at the OnStage event together.  I had even a stronger desire to earn at that time.  You see I am taking my Assistant, Jodie Daniels, with me on the incentive trip and I knew she had never flown before.  So if I earned the million dollar milestone, SU! would fly two first-class to OnStage and Jodie would get to fly before our Mediterranean Cruise.

Even though it was a bit of a reach for all of us, we set our goals and encouraged each other to give it our all.  With lots of prayer, support from amazing customers and friends and a lot of hard work we all reached the milestone goals we had set.  The power of prayer and friendship.

I wanted to keep it low key with the celebration.   We were to go to The Roof for dinner on our finally night.  But as I turned the corner into the restaurant I found out Cindy and Kim had planned a celebration with some very dear friends.  There made beautiful sunflower decorations.  I immediately began to cry and said, "I told you guys I didn't need any FANFARE!!"  immediately Rich Griffith, who was standing nearby says to me, "Linda, this isn't about FANFARE, this is about FAMILY".   Rich, is Dawn Griffiths husband, and he is so adorable.  He has a heart like my Jay.  I am so blessed to have these amazing people in my life.

Peek-a-Boo Creative Fold Card

#creativefold, #peek-a-boocard #lindabauwin

Today's creative fold video features the beautiful Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper.  I am so sad to have this paper retiring as I so love it.  Also retiring from this card is the 2 1/2" Circle and the 2 3/8" Scallop Punch.  Also items that I will miss.  As of writing this post all three of these items are available.  So if you do not have in your collection you can still order.

Remember if you use Hostess FF2EHGWW  in my Online Store I will send you a free gift this week.

Today's creative fold starts with a piece of card stock that measures 4 1/4" x 11" and it's scored along the 11" side at 2 1/2" and 6 3/4"  I used the 2 1/2" circle punch to punch the hole for the peek-a-poo part of the card make sure you watch the video for placement.

I used a piece of the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper that measured 2 1/4" x 4" and one that measured 4" x 4" for the front of the card.

The 2 3/8" Scallop Pinch is a Peter fit for inside the 2 1/3" opening and the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies is a beautiful accent on top of the scallop.

Don't forget to check out all the retiring items before they are gone.
